Medina has significant legal experience in the complex insurance industry, having previously worked as an associate at a midsize firm where she focused on insurance coverage matters. Additionally, prior to joining SHMG, Medina was a law clerk in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Chancery Division for the Honorable Alison C. Conlon. During her clerkship, Medina worked closely with Judge Conlon on a variety of business disputes.

A first-generation lawyer and college graduate, Medina graduated magna cum laude from Michigan State University before earning her law degree from Indiana University Maurer School of Law. While at Indiana, she served as Senior Managing Editor for the Indiana Journal of Global Legal Studies (IJGLS), published her student note in IJGLS, and volunteered at the non-profit legal clinic. During law school, Medina interned in-house at an investment portfolio company in Detroit.

Outside of work, Medina loves long distance running, exploring Italian restaurants in Chicago, and supporting the Detroit Lions and MSU football (go green!).
